1. Flat Ground Edge

  • Visual & Tactile Feel: Uniform matte texture.

  • Process Description: Diamond-embedded grinding wheels are used to create a uniform, non-reflective satin finish.

2. Flat Polished Edge

  • Visual & Tactile Feel: Smooth, clear, Mirror-like edge.

  • Process Description: The ground edge undergoes further polishing to achieve a smooth, reflective sheen.

3. Flat Polished Edge with Arris (Chamfer)

  • Visual & Tactile Feel: A polished flat edge with a precise, defined chamfer.

  • Process Description: A flat polished edge is finished with an additional defined chamfer.

4. Pencil Ground Edge (C-Shape)

  • Visual & Tactile Feel: Soft, rounded matte contour, comfortable to the touch.

  • Process Description: The edge is ground to a gentle, rounded pencil-like (C-shape) profile with a uniform satin finish.

5. Pencil Polished Edge

  • Visual & Tactile Feel: Smooth, glossy rounded edge.

  • Process Description: The pencil ground edge is polished to form a glossy, rounded C-shape profile.

6. Safety Seamed Edge (Swipe/Chamfer Edge)

  • Primary Function: Removes sharpness for safe handling.

  • Process Description: A light sanding process eliminates the sharp cutting edge, providing a basic safety treatment.

7. Dubbed Corners

  • Primary Function: Eliminates sharp corners to prevent chipping and enhance safety.

  • Process Description: Sharp corners are eased by a specified chamfer or radius.

8. Stepped and Routed Surfaces

  • Primary Function: Creates functional structures for mounting or sealing.

  • Process Description: Material is precisely removed to create a recessed step or a raised lip on the Glass surface or edge.

9. Beveled Edges

  • Visual & Tactile Feel: Angled, refined edges, commonly used for mirrors and decorative glass.

  • Process Description: Angled edges are ground or polished on glass or mirrors, available in various profiles (e.g., Flat, Ogee) and angles.

10. Bullnose Edges (Half & Full)

  • Visual & Tactile Feel: Fully rounded polished edge, elegant in appearance and pleasant to the touch.

  • Process Description: The edge is shaped into a semi-circular or full circular contour with a radius equal to the glass thickness, followed by a high-gloss polish.
