In the sector of deep glass processing, cleanliness is the primary benchmark for quality. Surface contaminants—ranging from microscopic particulates and skin oils to residual machining fluids—directly compromise the integrity of downstream applications. Whether the goal is vacuum coating, structural lamination, or high-tenacity bonding, the substrate must be chemically and physically pristine.

To meet these rigorous standards, our facility utilizes two specialized cleaning streams tailored to geometry and process requirements.

1. Ultrasonic Cleaning

Precision for Complex Geometries and Fabricated Components
Ultrasonic cleaning is the designated protocol for glass components requiring comprehensive surface neutralization. This method is indispensable for glass with drilled holes, CNC-milled edges, or intricate shapes where mechanical brushing cannot reach.

● The Mechanism: Substrates are submerged in a temperature-stabilized bath of deionized water and proprietary surfactants. Transducers generate high-frequency acoustic waves (40–80 kHz), inducing acoustic cavitation. This process creates millions of microscopic vacuum bubbles that implode upon contact with the glass, "scrubbing" away polishing compounds, fine swarf, and oils from every contour and internal bore.

● Operational Role:To achieve total decontamination of three-dimensional parts where physical contact cleaning is ineffective. It ensures the surface energy is optimized for high-performance adhesion.

● Integration: Positioned immediately following mechanical fabrication (grinding, drilling, or waterjet cutting). It is a mandatory precursor to Magnetron Sputtering (MSVD), silvering, and medical-grade bonding.

2.Automated Horizontal Washing

High-Throughput Processing for Flat Glass Architectures
For large-format panels and standard flat glass, we employ fully automated, multi-stage horizontal washing lines designed for consistency and high-speed integration.

● The Mechanism:The glass travels via a conveyor system through four distinct zones

● Pre-Rinse: High-pressure jets remove loose debris.

● Mechanical Scrub:Counter-rotating, non-abrasive nylon brushes apply targeted pressure to the top and bottom surfaces using heated cleaning solutions.

● DI Rinse:Successive stages of deionized water rinsing strip away all chemical residues.

● Air-Knife Drying: High-velocity, ionized air knives strip moisture from the surface instantly, preventing water spots and neutralizing static charge to repel ambient dust.

● Operational Role:To provide a uniform, streak-free surface across massive surface areas. It balances mechanical scrubbing with chemical dissolution to prepare panels for large-scale assembly.

● Integration:Typically located after initial sizing and inspection. This serves as the final preparation gate before Low-E coating, PVB/EVA lamination, or the tempering furnace, where surface purity is vital for thermal uniformity and optical clarity.
